Contract Negotiations 01/06/2025

Takeaways from 01/06/2025 meeting:
• HACC admin opened the meeting by stating both parties had moved on from the Fact Finder’s report. HACCEA stated they had not moved on from the Fact Finder’s Report and that HACC admin still had not appropriately addressed reasons for refusing to vote on the report. HACC admin stated it cost too much and did not give enough management rights. No details were given.
• HACC admin presented its counter-proposal on its own draft.
• After a breakout room discussion, HACCEA presented a verbal “supposal” (an unofficial proposal to gauge HACC Admin’s thoughts) to address a key request from HACCEA’s adjunct faculty.
• HACC Admin discussed the “supposal” in a breakout room and promised to reply in more detail at the 1/13/2025 meeting.

Dear colleagues,
HACCEA continues to work from the Fact Finder’s Report and will continue to do so.
HACC Admin presented some modest changes to their own proposal.
The two parties engaged in some conversation regarding the HACC admin’s counter-proposal and HACCEA’s “supposal.”
HACCEA will provide a written counter-proposal for the 1/13/2025 meeting.
The next meeting is 01/13/2025.
